This episode (published on Father's Day: June 20, 2021) is Scene Seven in Serviceman. It's mid-December 1945. The Bernsteins and Stanley are celebrating with the Norman & Jane Gordon family, who are neighbors in the building. Norman's older sister, Phyllis, is home from Europe after her Red Cross service and the party is buzzing with good cheer. The Silver King met the youngest Gordon family sibling, Shirley June, that evening. They married seventy-five years ago (June 19, 1946) at Chicago's Intercontinental Hotel. Stanley & Shirley had two children, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The Silver King died in October 1990; he was 67. Shirley died in April 2018; she was 95.
